Transformers for Military Use.
Foster Transformer has received a US DDTC registration number signifying compliance with Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC). This registration enables us to work with manufacturers whose products are covered by the United States Munitions List (USML) of the International Traffic in Arms Regulation treaty (Part 121 of the ITAR).
Foster started making military radio components for the Crosely Division of the AVCO Manufacturing Corporation during World War II, and has had involvement in the military market ever since. Defense related products often have a service life much longer than their commercial counterparts and Foster can assure that spare parts and technical support will remain available as needed.
We design and manufacture custom electronic transformers suitable for use in a wide variety of defense related products. Designs include:

The U.S. Government views the sale, export, and re-transfer of defense articles and defense services as an integral part of safeguarding U.S. national security and furthering U.S. foreign policy objectives. Therefore, any person who engages in the United States in the business of manufacturing or exporting defense articles or furnishing defense services is required to register and keep their registration current with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR Part 22). Foster Transformer Company has completed this registration helping to insure its customers meet all regulatory obligations.
