We’ve come a long way since William Stanley developed the first practical transformer in 1885.  While the principle of operation remains the same, our new high efficiency isolation transformers advance the state of the art providing a higher degree of isolation, improved efficiency, reduced size and weight, and lower operating costs. In fact, these transformers are up to 25% lighter than our previous generation isolation transformers while offering full load operating efficiencies of 97% to more than 99%. When compared to transformers meeting NEMA TP-1:2002 Energy Efficiency Standards, one of our 25 kVA models can reduce annual operating expense by $500.00. That’s the equivalent of switching off a 500W heat lamp.

These new transformers are the result of a two year development project in which we scrutinized every aspect of the transformer’s design seeking to optimize performance while minimizing size. The result is the addition of more than 250 new models with input voltages ranging from 120 V through 600 V, and available secondary voltages of 120, 208, 240, or 277 V. Power ratings of 1.0 kVA through 25.0 kVA. All models are UL and C-UL Recognized to UL 5085-1, UL 5085-2, CSA C22.2 No. 66.1, and CSA C22.2 No. 66.2.

With reduced size, decreased audible noise, less heat, and greater efficiency, Foster’s high efficiency isolation transformers are the ideal choice for a broad range of applications. Contact us today
