Ferroresonant Transformers:

Features:

  • Square Wave or Sine Wave Outputs Available.
  • UL Recognized Class 130 (B) through Class 220 (R) Insulation Systems. (UL File: E50662).
  • Vacuum & Pressure Impregnation with specialty formulated Epoxy Resin for Low Acoustic Noise.
  • 50 Hz, 60 Hz, and 50/60 Hz Models Available.
  • Output Ratings from 50 VA through 5.0 kVA.  Contact factory for sizes outside this range.

Advantages:

  • Standard Square Wave Output requires less filtering than linear transformers for DC Applications.
  • Optional Sine Wave Output provides clean (<5% THD, typical), reliable power from the dirtiest sources.
  • Line Voltage Regulation ± 3%, typical, for Input variations of ± 15%.
  • Low component count provides exceptional reliability under the most extreme operating conditions.
  • High Efficiency.  Typical operating efficiencies exceed 85%.
  • Inherent Current Limiting.  Transformers can be designed to operate continuously with a direct short applied across the output terminals!
