What is a AC/DC Power Transformer?
AC/DC power transformers convert power-level
voltages from one level or phase configuration to another. They
can include features for electrical isolation, power distribution,
and control and instrumentation applications.
An AC/DC power transformer is used to
convert high voltage AC current to DC current. This type of power
transformer is the most used for small electric motors and circuit
boards where DC current is used.
AC/DC power transformers do
this by taking the power that is fed into their primary windings
and send it through their cores to their secondary windings, where
the voltages and currents are changed. AC/DC power transformers
typically rely on the principle of magnetic induction between coils
to convert voltage and/or current levels.
We are one of the world's most respected AC/DC
power transformer manufacturers, Foster Transformer Company
is the prefect choice for custom and standard AC/DC power transformers.
We currently have more than 16,000 different custom and standard
AC/DC power transformers.
